Amelia S. Willis, Esq
Amelia Shaw Willis is a founding partner of Willis & Nicholas, PLLC. Her practice primarily focuses on family law, including divorce and child custody litigation and settlement. It also includes estate and/or probate matters, as well as general civil litigation and adoption. She maintains a high volume of family law and chancery cases.
While attending MC Law, Ms. Willis participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic and served as a Guardian Ad Litem. This experience encouraged her passion and enthusiasm for family law. As her career steadily advanced she started her own firm in 2015. Three years later, she founded Willis & Nicholas, PLLC, with partner Heather Nicholas, Esq.
To achieve the best results, Willis and Nicholas, PLLC uses a variety of advanced litigation techniques, both in and out of the courtroom. Mindful of the benefits of preserving their clients’ financial resources and delicate family ties, Willis and Nicholas, PLLC, strives to favorably settle issues and cases whenever possible. However, should trial be the only available option, Ms. Willis has the respect of her peers as a highly skilled, prepared and formidable opponent in the courtroom.
She is a member of the Mississippi Bar and licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi, as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
A native of Greenville now living in Madison, Mississippi, Ms. Willis enjoys local musical theater and the arts. As a single mom she stays ”on the go” managing her son and daughter’s many activities..
